Women's History Month

For Women’s History Month, we invited youth activists and female entrepreneurs in NYC to star in a video, where we asked them: What does Women’s History Month mean to you?

#FeelWellDoWell

We kicked off August in partnership with Sustain The Mag. As the clock struck midnight last December, people around the globe had no ideat what the new year would bring #2020 shifted the world as we knew it, and navigating wellness has never been more important. This goes for personal wellness and the collective wellbeing of people and the planet 🌍.

The National Wellness Institute defines wellness as “a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential.” While wellness is definitely an evolving process, we believe wellness should not only center on individual growth, but on collective growth and healing as well. We all have the #POWER within us to be well and do well.

That’s why The Power Thread is partnering with SUSTAIN (@sustainthemag), a media platform focused on cultivating a healthy, planet-friendly, lifestyle. We are joining SUSTAIN in the fight to normalize sustainability. For the month of August, we invite you to join us in the #FeelWellDoWell summer wellness challenge. We will be breaking the weeks into four themes: Body, Mind, Home, Heart.

#PrideXPower

To celebrate Pride month, we highlighted women who have paved way for people in the LGBTQ community.

Personal Independence

For the month of August, we shared content related to being your most independent self. We discuss the connection between power, confidence, and independence for womxn. To wrap up the month, we hosted a Financial Wellness workshop to discuss the connection between financial wellness and personal independence.

Sustainability & Earth Day

Our community is incredibly passionate about sustainability and environmental innovation, so instead of celebrating Earth Day, we discussed environmental innovation and sustainability for the entire month of April. We took this conversation off social media by hosting 3 workshops led by womxn whose careers are focused on sustainability and environmental innovation.

National Women’s Equality Day

For National Women’s Equality Day in 2018, we partnered with Women’s March and raised over $1000.

Mental Health Awareness Month

For May we shared a variety of resources and ways to cultivate a health mindset.
